At Summerside, pupils learn skills and knowledge spanning a range of different artists from different time periods and exploring different mediums. 

Children at Summerside are offered a broad and balanced curriculum that explores and equips them with the knowledge and skills needed to draw, paint, print, sculpt, craft and design. Children are able to develop their aesthetic awareness and are equipped to make informed, critical responses to not only their own but other's work. As part of the Art curriculum children are exposed to a number of opportunities to explore art beyond the classroom, exploring the cultural delights of London as well as workshops in school from artists that can help and inspire them to develop their enthusiasm for creation.
