BACE Holidays – Free Holiday Activities for Eligible Families
Barnet offers BACE Holidays, a programme providing free holiday activities and nutritious meals for children aged 5–16 who receive benefit‑related Free School Meals. Activities include sports, creative arts, cooking, trips, and enrichment opportunities every Spring, Summer and Winter Holidays.

Positive Activities for ALL Barnet Children and Young People
Barnet’s Positive Activities programme offers a wide range of free or low‑cost activities for any child or young person who lives in Barnet or attends a Barnet school. Sessions run year‑round (Term-Times and Holidays) and include youth clubs, sports, arts, music, outdoor learning and more.

Music Lessons
At Summerside, we are delighted to be able to offer children the chance to have either guitar or piano lessons. If you are interested in your child learning either of these instruments, please visit https://www.pianofunclub.co.uk/ for more information and to book lessons.

Breakfast club
Breakfast club is for children from Reception to Year 6 and costs £4.00 per day (paid through School Money) and includes a healthy breakfast of cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt and squash. Children play games inside and outside school. Children can come every day or for occasional days as needed and places do not need to be booked in advance. Please bring your child to the Breakfast Club door between 8:00 and 8:15.
Children who have Free School Meals due to family income can come to Breakfast Club free of charge.

Happy Days After School Club at Summerside School
Happy Days After School Club, based in Summerside School, continues to look after your child(ren), providing activities in the club daily, Monday to Friday from 3.30 pm - 6.00pm.
If you would like your child to join the Club and engage in the activities, we are happy to speak with you and spaces are available for bookings. You can book your child online weekly, specify regular days and book ad hoc sessions suited to your individual needs.

Daily Fees are:
£14.50 per session/day.
£14.50 per day for regular full-time booked weekly sessions Monday to Friday.
£14.50 for ad hoc sessions (48hrs notice required) in advance and booking fee applies).
£16.50 for ad hoc sessions (without 48hrs notice in advance will incur booking and late fee)
One hour is £11.50 or £13.50 if under 48 hours.
13.00 for a session after a school club or 15.00 if under 48 hours.
Please note, you may also be entitled to help with Childcare costs https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs as we are Ofsted Registered.
Childcare at school – You can only get help paying for care that is outside school hours, for example after school clubs or breakfast clubs. Please check if you qualify by clicking on the link below:
